"Honestly , I do like using the..."
Honestly , I do like using the software once I can actually get into it . The problem is the activation keeps acting up for no clear reason . Some days it tells me my license is invalid , other times it says it can’t reach the server . I’ve wasted way too much time just trying to open the program and get started . Support did get back to me , but not nearly fast enough for something that keeps me from working .

"Support replied fast, but still not instant"
I had an issue with my TVPaint license, so I messaged support. To be fair, they got back to me quicker than I thought they would, which was nice. They explained what I needed to do clearly, but I still had to send another email to fully get it sorted. That part was a bit annoying, honestly. I just wish it had been handled right away, because waiting around for license stuff is frustrating, and having to follow up is frustrating too. It worked out in the end, though, and the support was helpful. I’d give it 4 stars since they did a good job, just not exactly instant.

"Pricey, outdated, and kind of confusing??"
I gave TVPaint a try for animation, but the interface felt old and not very intuitive. I kept finding myself wondering where things were or why certain tools worked the way they did?? It also crashed on me a few times, which was frustrating. For the price, I really expected a smoother experience and better support. Just didn’t feel worth it for me

"Felt a bit stuck with the import and export options"
TVPaint is decent for drawing, but I got frustrated with the import and export side of things. A few file types I normally use didn’t come in properly, and exporting took way more fiddling than I expected. I actually felt a little embarrassed sitting there trying different settings just to get something simple out of it. Maybe it’s smoother if you already know the exact workflow, but for me it felt clunky and a bit outdated.

"Not gonna lie, I really wanted to..."
Not gonna lie, I really wanted to get into TVPaint, but the timeline ended up being the thing that wore me down.

Moving frames around felt way clunkier than I expected, and I kept losing track of where everything was. Even simple timing tweaks felt like they took too many clicks and too much patience.
I’m sure it makes sense once you’re used to it, but for me it just made the whole animation process feel slow and messy. After a while, I felt like I was fighting the timeline more than actually drawing.

"It’s just way too slow to use. I..."
It’s just way too slow to use. I kept waiting for basic things to load, and it got frustrating fast. I tried reaching out for help, but support kept bouncing me around with the same generic replies, so it felt like I was stuck in a loop instead of getting an actual solution

"I really wanted to like TVPaint more..."
I really wanted to like TVPaint more because the actual drawing feel is nice. But once I started animating, the workflow got clunky fast, especially with layers and timing. Some of the tools feel kind of outdated and not super clear. It does work, but I’m literally spending too much time fighting the interface instead of just animating. For the price, I was expecting it to feel a lot smoother.

"Good software, but the support was a letdown"
I actually like the software when it’s working, but dealing with support was frustrating. I waited days to hear back, and when they finally replied, it felt like they hadn’t really read what I wrote. The answers were super short and didn’t solve much, so I ended up figuring it out on my own. Weirdly, I remember sitting there refreshing my email while eating a slightly stale granola bar, which somehow made the whole thing feel even more annoying. For paid software, I expected a lot better

"I mean, it’s not perfect, but it..."
I mean, it’s not perfect, but it does what I need most days. It rarely crashes, which is kind of the main thing for me, and yeah... overall it works well enough that I don’t really think about it much...

"Good app, but expensive and a bit slow to hear back"
TVPaint works well overall, but the price feels really high for what I personally need it for. It’s a solid app, just hard for me to justify the cost. I also expected a faster response when I had questions, so that part was a little frustrating.

"Feels a little unfinished for what it costs"
I really wanted to like this more, because I was expecting it to feel like a complete, polished animation tool, but after spending some time with it, I kept running into little things that made it feel kind of unfinished. A lot of the basics either seem to be missing, not fully thought out, or just not as smooth as they should be in a modern program. Some parts feel like they haven’t been updated in a while, and the overall workflow can get clunky, especially when you’re trying to do something that should be simple but ends up needing some weird workaround. It’s not that the software is totally unusable, because it does have useful features, but for the price, I expected something that felt much more complete and current. Instead, it often feels like you’re paying for a full package but still having to fight the tool to get things done.

"Audio kept slipping out of sync"
I do like drawing in TVPaint, it feels nice for that, but man the audio sync kinda drove me nuts. Playback would drift just a little and it made timing mouth shapes way more annoying then it needed to be. For what it costs, I expected that part to be smoother

"I actually really like drawing in TVPaint, but..."
I actually really like drawing in TVPaint, but the camera tools have been a big headache for me. Trying to move shots around or set up a simple pan/zoom just feels clunky, and I end up wasting Way more time than I expected on stuff that should be quick.
Maybe I’m just missing something, but it doesn’t feel as intuitive as the rest of the program. For the price, I expected the camera side of things to feel smoother. It’s not totally unusable, just Annoying enough that I usually avoid it if I can.

"Well, That Was Fun"
Tried using it with my laptop and, surprise surprise, it’s not compatible. So basically I got to enjoy the thrilling experience of troubleshooting something that was never going to work in the first place. Annoying.

"Clean layout, but took me a minute"
Overall, the interface is nice and clean. I did have to poke around a bit at first because a few buttons weren’t super obvious to me, but once I got used to it, it was fine. It feels easier than some other tools I’ve used, although..

"Tablet support is honestly frustrating"
My pen keeps lagging, and when I reached out to support, all I got were these generic copy-paste replies that didn’t actually help. I’m trying to get work done, but the main tool I need is acting up and support isn’t really supporting. Like, make it make sense

I’ve tried messing with it a bit, but the pen pressure just still doesn’t seem to work. Not sure if it’s this thing or some setting, but it’s frustrating

"Great app, just save often"
I’ve been using TVPaint for drawing and animation, and overall I really like it. It has crashed on me a few times, usually when I’m working with bigger files, so I’d say it’s probably one of those apps where saving often is just a good habit. It doesn’t happen constantly, though, and it hasn’t stopped me from enjoying it. Still happy with it overall.

"These brushes are just not it. They feel..."
These brushes are just not it. They feel rough on my skin and kind of weird to use, like some cheap little scratchy things. I tried to like them, but nope, they’re annoying

"Dealing with layers gets annoying fast"
I don’t know, the layer management just feels way more frustrating than it should. Like, when I’m trying to move quickly and keep things organized, it starts feeling messy almost immediately, and then I’m spending more time hunting through layers or trying to clean them up than actually doing the thing I opened the app to do. It’s not unusable, it just kind of interrupts the flow constantly.
